We had an IMPRESSIVE 13 divers who showed up at the USC 2nd Annual Masters
Diving Invitational. Included in the event were several NEW masters divers
who were a welcome surprise. Included were, Robert and John Dohring who are
identical twins. They were gymnasts and have only been diving for one year
now. They are AWESOME divers and only 22 years young. Sarah Gilliland, also
in her twenties, dived in her 2nd masters meet of the season after recently
getting back into diving and looking good. Justin Murphy in his 30's has
also returned to diving after a long break and demonstrated some pretty
impressive dives. Lo and behold the beautiful and graceful Todd Mulzet
joined us and graced us with his un-believable diving form. For those of you
wondering Todd is now in his 40's. Doug Simon, former professional diver at
Magic Mountain, put some excellent dives down in the 50's age group. And,
then there were the regulars Myself, Felix Grossman, Fred Fox, Greg Shuff,
Bob Mc Neil who came all the way from Arizona, Brett Parker and Julie
Goldstein all of which also put down some good dives on a great sunny day in
L.A.
Let's not forget Jimmy Whalen who helped run the meet and announce the
diving. Jimmy is recovering from Knee reconstructive surgery. Kim one of the
USC divers stayed to help run the table. See the great pic's that follow.
